Terms of Use
The terms for using this website and buying and using the DOCUVE studio.
These terms apply when you visit this website or buy and use DOCUVE. DOCUVE is made and offered by Mohamed Araja (Theo Kode) ("we", "us"). By using the website or the studio, you agree to these terms. If you don't agree, please don't use them.
What DOCUVE is
DOCUVE is a document studio for freelance designers. You enter a project's details once, and the studio creates six client documents from them: a project brief, a proposal, a design agreement, a revision request, a handoff and an invoice. You can edit the wording, add your logo and colours, and export each document as a PDF.
The studio runs in your web browser and keeps your work in your browser's storage on your device. It has no accounts and works offline. Our Privacy Policy explains how information is handled.
Buying DOCUVE
- Price: DOCUVE is sold for a one-time payment at the price shown on our website when you buy. There is no subscription.
- Checkout: purchases are made through Gumroad. Gumroad is the merchant of record: it sells DOCUVE to you, takes the payment and issues your receipt. Gumroad's terms also apply to the purchase.
- Taxes: depending on where you live, Gumroad may add sales tax or VAT at checkout, and it collects and pays that tax.
- Delivery: after you pay, you can download the studio, a single file called DOCUVE.html, from your Gumroad receipt email or your Gumroad library. You can download it again from your library later.
- Updates: when we release an improved version of DOCUVE, buyers can download it from their Gumroad library at no extra cost.
Refunds
If DOCUVE isn't right for you, email printit.studio1@gmail.com within 7 days of your purchase and we'll give you a full refund. Refunds are paid through Gumroad, to the payment method you used.
This doesn't limit any other rights you have under the consumer laws where you live.
Your license
When you buy DOCUVE, you get a personal, non-exclusive license for one person to use the studio for their own work, including unlimited projects and paying clients. If several people in a studio or team will use DOCUVE, each person needs their own license.
You may not:
- share, resell, sublicense or redistribute the DOCUVE.html file, or publish it for others to download
- remove or misrepresent who made DOCUVE
- use DOCUVE to create documents that are unlawful, deceptive or fraudulent
Your content and your responsibilities
- You own your content. The text, logos, client details and documents you create with DOCUVE belong to you. We don't receive them.
- You're responsible for what you send. Check that every document is accurate and complete before you send it, including prices, dates, payment details and tax.
- You're responsible for your clients' information. If you enter personal information about other people, you're responsible for handling it lawfully.
The contract template isn't legal advice
DOCUVE includes a design agreement and other documents written in plain language as starting points. They are general templates, not legal advice. They may not be suitable for your situation, and they may not be valid or enforceable in every country. Before you rely on a contract, have it reviewed by a qualified legal professional where you work.
Keep copies of your work
Your projects are stored only in your browser. Clearing your browser data, switching browsers or devices, or moving the studio file can delete them, and we can't recover them. Export backups regularly (Studio settings → Data → Export backup) and keep copies of the PDFs you send.
Our intellectual property
DOCUVE, including its design, code, document templates, name and logo, belongs to us and is protected by intellectual property laws. Your license lets you use the studio as described above. It doesn't transfer ownership of DOCUVE to you.
You may reuse and edit the template wording inside the documents you create for your own clients.
The website and changes
We may update, improve or change the website and DOCUVE over time. We try to keep the website available, but we can't promise it will always be available or free of errors. The studio file you download keeps working on your device without our website.
Disclaimer
DOCUVE is provided "as is". To the extent the law allows, we don't promise that it will meet every need, work without errors, or produce documents that fit every legal or business situation.
Limitation of liability
To the extent the law allows, we aren't liable for indirect or consequential losses, such as lost profits, lost clients or lost data, that come from using or being unable to use DOCUVE. To the extent the law allows, our total liability for any claim about DOCUVE is limited to the amount you paid for it.
Nothing in these terms limits liability that can't be limited by law, such as liability for fraud, or rights you have as a consumer that can't be waived.
If something goes wrong
If you have a problem with DOCUVE or your purchase, email us first. Most issues can be solved quickly, and refunds are available as described above. Questions about payments, receipts and charges can also go to Gumroad, which handles the sale.
Nothing in these terms takes away the consumer rights you have under the laws of the country where you live.
Changes to these terms
We may update these terms. When we do, we'll change the "Last updated" date above. The terms in place when you bought DOCUVE continue to apply to that purchase, unless a change is required by law.
